This past week, I have been meeting with the people and businesses who are the heart and soul of our downtown.  It takes time and I will spend another couple of days doing so.  This has been really good for me.  I haven’t walked our downtown like this since I was growing up.  The experience has been somewhat nostalgic.  I am really enjoying it. 

By listening to these good people, I’m learning so much.  They work hard.  They love this city.  They want the best for this city and they want to do their part.  But they are concerned about future plans and they want someone to hear them.  No one is listening.  That’s why I am running.  My opponents’ voice is already well represented on the council.  I offer a different voice; an independent voice.   But most importantly,  I offer a voice for you.
